Rockland Soldier Laid To Rest

The Town of Rockland, Massachusetts turned out for the burial of Spec. Matthew M Pollini was was killed on January 22, 2009 when his vehicle crashed in Iraq. school children held flags, adults held back tears as the horse drawn hearse carried his remains down Union Street from the funeral home to the church and then from the Hanover town hall to his final resting place in Hanover Center Cemetery, The twenty-one year old soldier was a member of the 772nd Massachusetts National Guard Military Police based in Taunton, MA. The funeral mass was said at Holy Family Church in Rockland and his burial was in Hanover.
