the location is near Valley Springs in the Central Valley of California... about 20 miles east of Stockton. I believe they are barn owls (round white face) that were living in an owl box we put up on our property. This was our 2nd year of having owls living in the box and we thought there were 2 adults and 4 young owls, but on this night there seemed to be several more that came out of the trees when I started walking around.
