I have a question.... RX-SSTV is supposed to automatically take the signal right? I can't get mine to work..

@konachify ok, there are so many different kinds of format for them to be, but the initial tone usually tells the program what format it is in and triggers the star of the decipher.
make sure you either have your sound going from the game through your computer's sound card/speakers (or at least into a mic going into your sound card).
then, make sure you have your recording devices set up to receive from the stereo mix (or mic in)
Cheers!

@StressedYeti Here's a dumb little request, can you find out if this means anything? watch?v=9C6lymtHG60 I just put 2 and 2 together a while ago and realized how similar these sounds are. If it does translate to anything it might just be the most important discovery in mankind's history. Just curious. Hope to hear from you soon

@VinnyVanYiffy That's a really valid question!
But alas, no.
What you are hearing in the audio from Saturn, Jupiter, ect is the fluctuation in the magnetosphere of the planets.
Because of the barrage of ionized particles (solar wind), the magnetospheres warp and form tear-drop shapes. the fat or blunt end builds up ionized particles, also known as a "Bow Shock" that's what most of the pops and booms are. the rest is from the probe picking up the oscillations of the magnetosphere.

What a GREAT find. I pride myself in my dorky ability to find all easter eggs on my first run through of virtually any game... but this my friend, I missed, and I am thoroughly impressed that 1) You found it, and 2) That the dev. team created it! Just WOW
