Urban living, especially in a place like Manhattan where home size is nearly half the national average, often means being more creative with your furniture selections. When Susan Kim moved from a Baltimore home to a NYC apartment she invested in a storage bed and an indoor bike rack.
Wouldn't it be hard to get stuff out of the storage under the bed? I imagine it to be heavy enough that you need two hands to lift the top, so with what hand do you take the stuff out?

@makelisanotwar She only showed it to me quickly, but I believe it has a way to lock it in place so you can move things in and out while it's lifted up... like the hood of a car.

It's funny, because here, in Hungary, almost all beds are bulit like this. But we store our bedsheets in it.

@csupika Interesting that Hungarian beds are so different from those in America... or at least up until now. Now I know a few people in the U.S. with these beds and others who are getting them (small trend maybe, at least among urban dwellers).
