thats valid. I only remember hidan saying he had the slowest attacks and i figured since Hidan is fluent with his acrobatics and what not he could manage to get one drop of blood.

Hidan even said so himself that he IS the weakest of the akatsuki.

This is because he accepts that his only true strengths are his immortality and his Jashin curse.

Kakashi was having a hard time because Hidan doesn't have to switch to defense when in battle. He's a pure close-range fighter which needs strategy to defeat him.

Deidara, on the other hand, is purely long range and would easily defeat Hidan by blowing him to pieces.

i know its an old comment but Hidan sure as hell aint the weakest akatsuki member. Zetsu doesnt do anything and Deidara is just plain weaker than Hidan. Hidan is the stupidest akatsuki member which is why he could fight kakashi but not shikamaru
