NB Southern ran a special train to test clearances for a future move of pressure tanks. Newly painted NBSR 2319 took two flatcars with 19x21 foot tanks to Grand Bay.

  • What were the tanks for anyways?

  • @wapzappo They are pressure tanks, sent to the paper mill in Nackawic. They were unloaded in Harvey and trucked from there.

  • Perfect shot, but how fast was it going?

  • Not much more than walking speed here. It stopped quite often to check clearances.
