  • I'd really love it if he did I.V. Therapy mathematical calculations. I have to practice that every second of an 8 hour day, and I'd like a better way of doing it than the RN who taught it to us (who thought she knows everything.)

Well, she may understand it, but she didn't explain it to US in a way that was easy to understand.

  • My daughter used to get earaches and she'd cry a lot, but she wasn't a crier. So I always got worried about it if she cried a lot.

Insufficient blood to the system is the right definition for shock, b/c that means 'an imbalance of perfusion.'

  • @ChronicFatigueSyn Good luck with that. Besides, if they knew EVERYthing about it, then what would they do for the doctoral thesis? You have to write a thesis on something nobody has covered before you. You also have to do that with a Master's thesis. I don't have either. I'm a mere paramedic, not noticed by most doctors, only the chosen few who've been granted the power to be able to see me.

You have to joke about it, or it makes you crazy to be so effectively ignored by a lot of MD's.

  • @igorkrupitsky antibiotics combats bacteria, but not viruses. Also, antibiotics harm your own body. Also, the more antibiotics are used, the more bacteria become antibiotic-resistant.

  • If a viral infection can lead to a bacterial infection why no treat all infections with antibiotics?

  • Sal, this is Kiko from Brazil. I've been your fan for quite a while, watching math, sci and economy videos for fun (really great fun!). But as a medical student, I've always thought to myself: "God, if this guy was a doctor, my life at med-school would be so much easier!" Apparently, you're close to solving that problem! Thank you so much. Honestly, I hope you get this message and count on me any volunteer may need. Hugs from São Paulo!

  • Not sure I like the guest format. I like the Khan academy videos because they explain things better than average teachers, but this is just like sitting in college and watching the guy next to you take notes. I like the idea of expanding the content through other experts, but not a fan of this arrangement.

  • i like this guy's hand-writing

  • I like this new format! Thank you for you dedication and hard work!

  • lmao... struggling with spelling diarrhea
