A song I wrote for a friend some years ago. I hope you like it.

This song comes from a letter to a young man and his wife
From a soul who was no stranger to the beauty of an ordinary life.

You might have been my hero if you hadn't been my friend.
But we know in every story comes the moment when the hero's time must end.

Some folks push the boundaries for the sake of art and pride.
And as the years go by they wake up pushing, only (this time) from the other side.

In life there are the questions to which no answer can be found
At least not in the words we like so much to throw around
The answer's only ever truly given in a life.
