reply to celestique: actually no, he was still a kid, about 15 ide say...three years pass while he trains at kami's look out, then he's an adult and fights kind piccolo's spawn at the martial arts tournament.

Maybe old Piccolo has a big head because with age comes wisdom meaning his brain would expand :D
And a few videos back i managed to beat old Piccolo a few times...

Well, out of everything of this game I've seen over the last few days, from the plot holes to the scratchy voice clips, I'd have to say the thing I liked the most was the mid-air combat during one-on-one fights... and the thing I liked the least was the ugly Buruma sprite at the beginning of the underwater cave level.

...I have a question that you may be able to answer, Frank, as you seem to know a lot about this series. I notice that they translated Buruma as Bulma.. which is phonetically acceptable, I guess, but is still off-target. Why didn't they translate her name as Bloomers?

That's actually a good question, and I don't know the real answer. I have a few theories though.
1) They didn't think an american audience would get the Bloomers reference. Possible, as it's not a term I've heard used often.
2) The surname given is Briefs, which doesn't come up in the game at any point, but that gets the pun across still.
3) Really stupid censorship.
