I have a 45 D-18. I have not heard another one so it was a great video with good sound to give me perspective on what a similar 45 sounds like. I also have an ebony reinforcement rod wich makes the guitar very very light.
You play so many great sounding guitars on here, but you can always tell
a Martin when you play the first chord The bass sound from Martin guitars is
so distinctive. That guitar sounds great. I'm still listening to your videos Yiannis,
but so far, that guitar sound is one of my favorites. Every note you play is as clear as a bell. Everything you play is just perfect! Norman Blake...Tony Rice....
Yiannis Gougourelas....your name belongs with the best!
That great guitar belongs to friend of mine.Hope i get it one day,i like it alot, because it has a very open big tone that works great for bluegrass, although i don't think it's the kind of a mahogany Martin that works best for solo work.
In the next days i'll be making a new video using my tappered braced '47 D-18,a guitar that has that bright, cutting tone that's best for solo work. It's sounds alot like that '47 D-28 Bryan Sutton plays these days.
