Amy's version is the best! It's more touching than the other ones in my opinion.

I think Amy did the best, because I think she expressed the most emotion. Sally did good too, but her voice is just a bit too high pitched and it doesn't sound as depressing, but deffiantly had emotion. As for Fiona's version, I think her voice is too deep and did not show the depressing feeling. It barely had emotion in my ears. It also kinda sounds like she's a bit bored.

But you know, it's all a different taste and different opinions. Your more then welcome to disagree with me if you wish.

I think fiona's voice is a little too deep or maybe just not feminine enough. don't get me wrong, I like female singers with deeper voices, but it just doesn't fit here. Sally's voice is too theatrical for it, withe the carnival tones and falsely highpitched voice. just a little childish in a way. Amy Lee I think did the best with this song. maybe a little theatre like but she gives true expression and emotion, pain and depression. and the Goth sound adds to the sense of hope being truly lost.

Fiona captured the feeling and all around atmosphere the most I think. Amy's is to theatrical for lack of a better word. They all work either way. I think it comes down to personal taste. Their is no definite "better" one.

Although, Fiona Apple sounds as if she was forced to sing this and a bit bored.....and i guess thats what people like.
