Well, first of all, those "cockroaches" were fighting for what was , by all that is right, their's. Secondly, they were fighting against a terrible power known as the USSR and its brand of communism. Thirdly, what good is nuking a country if you want to own it ? That's like suggesting you set your neighbour's house on fire so that you can drive him out and take that house.
