The big one at the pleasure beach, the tallest ride in the uk, It can reach speeds of 74 mph (seems even slower these days) and is a very windy ride.

Tip about the real ride, don't expect too much, you will only be dissapointed.

  • hi, i'm ruth from blackpool and me and my freind and her friends are going pleasure beach tomorrow and i just want to ask someone who has been on this ride if it's REALLY scary or is the only scary bit is when it goes down the first big drop?? i'm very nervous and i would feel na whole lot better if someone tells me how scary it is. thankyou. :)

  • @ruththegummybear the first drop is the scary part, the rest of the ride is windy but nothing scary.

its the buildup from going up the hill thats the worse part, thats scary, but its worth a shot. Dont let your mates chicken out! :D

  • @koolkillax THE PEPSI MAX BIG ONE HAD A ACCIDENT IN 1994 A FEW DAYS AFTER OPENING!

  • @koolkillax yea 2 accidents, but it wasn't that bad, you should never take the news too seriously over anything ;)

listen to what the pb say, not a journalist.

  • @christophermarshall That's what I was meaning a few years back it crashed. I didn't say you were making it up I just thought that you got confused with the 2 accidents pending that they are similar! Anyways by the news it seems it had other problems as well!

  • @koolkillax the dipper did have its first crash after like 90 years of life. and so has the big one, sep 1st 2000, brakes failed and two trains crashed into eachother, so they stoped using 3 trains. Im not making it up, google it.

  • @christophermarshall Nooooo! It wasn't! It was the Big Dipper! I know! It was on the news I don't recall the BIG ONE having any crashes at all! Would have heard otherwise!

  • @koolkillax noooooo it WAS the big one!

  • @ANDREWSLETSPLAYS No. It was Big Dipper. Not Pepsi Max Big One!
