Based on the rock opera interpretation of Megaman's predecessor by the band The Protomen.
The music is a track called Hope Rides Alone.
--
The Protomen is a rock/techno band which has made their fame with now two albums devoted to a reinterpretation of the classic video game story of Megaman. Whereas Capcom however had cute sprites and a colorful world, the story of Protoman is set in a dystopian future and treats the battle against the robot masters with sober seriousness.
The story of the first album follows Protoman, a robot invented to deal with the oppressive regime of the maniacal Dr. Wily. His battle is a lonely one as the very people he strives to save ignore him as a troublemaker, and Dr. Light his creator struggles with the decision to activate him to save the world...but more then likely die in the attempt.
This is exactly one day I hope to do with Sonic; show how by taking even an originally childish concept seriously you can tell truly dramatic and meaningful stories.

  • @NathanFletcher52

I'm glad you enjoyed it ^^

What will I do with all those internets though? O_o

  • how would dr. wily come to power?

  • @sonicrocks57

You should listen to the second album which is actually a sequel to Protoman! Its called Father of Death, and it details how Wily rose from being a steel worker to engineer to tyrant after he framed his colleague Light for murder.

  • If they ever really casted Jeff Bridges as Dr. Light, my mind would explode.

  • @kashchei2003 He is an amateur in terms of technical skill in editing, but his imagination is simply boundless and he works hard to make whats in his mind into the trailers that we see.

  • EPIC WIN. You have constructed a video worthy of The Protomen.

  • Nice use of the Casshern footage. I liked how you kept it vague and were careful not to include closeups of the Protoman stand in.

  • This deserves a slow clap turn roaring applause.

  • Awesome cutting! Loved it.

  • Need his whistle theme.

  • I don't always enjoy fake movie trailers, but when I do, I make sure it invloves this.

  • how would the movie go?
