The ex-USS Radford was decommissioned in 2003 and has been sunk to become part of the Del-Jersey-Land artificial reef. Many who served on the Radford during its 26 year history were aboard a ferry from the Cape May-Lewes Ferry to watch the historic sinking. The USS Radford, at 563 feet long, is the longest vessel ever sunk for an artificial reef in the Atlantic

A noble ships gets a fine noble last mission. Wish we could do this with all ships that retire. Better then shaving with them if you ask me.
