One of the best songs ever. Always brings tears to my eyes. This song is my parents' special song. High School sweethearts in 1945, married in 1950. 45 years of marraige and my father passed away in 1995. Mom is alive and well thankfully. This song always reminds me of their great love they had and still have for each other.

It was played on Oldtime radio latethis after noon..

@ragemanchoo82 This is Kitty Kallen, I know I was around back then. She's good, but I liked Helen Forrest more. She just put more feeling into the music.

Last years Marine Ball was my first, and my boyfriend requested this (our) song. I was in the restroom finishing re applying my makeup until i realized it and rushed out of the restroom, got him from outside and into the dance floor. We slow danced and i sang it to him. Every girl that slow danced with their Marine beside us smiled and gave me small nods at our direction. Like they knew it was our song. It was absolutely romantic and special. I'll never forget that night.
