Gotta love George! I was at that SJS-SDSU game back in the 70's. I sat with my dad in the end zone and when George came down in the helicopter (the game was broadcast on ABC), they place went KRAZY!

I met him once back in the 80s. He owned a restaurant named after him in Aptos, CA south of Santa Cruz at the time. At the time he had long blonde hair and had a very nordic look to him.

I remember him at A's games back in the early 1980's as a kid. He is a classic and true one of a kind.
