Amish man charged with six counts of having sex with children

Williamstown, New York (WSYR-TV) - Oswego County Sheriff's deputies have arrested the driver of a pickup truck they say crashed into an Amish buggy and then left the scene.

The crash happened around 7 o'clock Saturday evening on County Route 30 and State Route 13 in Williamstown. Oswego County 911 dispatchers say the people in the buggy were thrown from the carriage when it was hit, but are not hurt. The driver of that truck then fled the scene and was tracked down a short time later near Sol Davis Road. He or she was taken into custody. No word tonight on what person has been charged with.

MARSHFIELD, Mo -- An Amish man from the Seymour community is in jail accused of having sex with two children.

36-year-old Johnny Schwartz was arraigned in Marshfield early Friday morning.

Six charges have been filed against him; two for statutory sodomy, two for statutory rape and two for child molestation. The alleged victims are two girls who are now teens.

The alleged acts happened when one of the girls was between six and eight, and the other was under 14

this story happeded pretty close to home. its been all over the news. i didn't know the amish people were like that. i heard about that on the radio the other day and i was a little shocked

Well it can be anyone that does this, the problem is the cover-up when they do not report it to the authorities. This "internal" punishment is not enough to stop it from happening. Check AmishDeception's videos, my friend's wife was abused too, and she has a video about it.

Hurting a child is a terrible crime always, regardless of what the background or religious beliefs of the perpetrator. Aaarrgggh. The hit and run is also horrible but in a different way. However, both are wrong.

The law for those that molest children must be changed. It should be a mandatory death penalty. I am so sick of seeing this kind of thing on tv and reading about it online daily where adults molest and continually abuse kids and get away with it. Nothing is done about it . I mean, the person rapes a child/children and goes to jail for a short time, and then gets let out only to do it again and again and again. These people can not be "fixed"! Things need to change. We must protect our children!
