The reason they did a "title change" (which went to Macho Man Savage), Hogan was getting ready to take time off. He needed it, to film "No Holds Barred". Ironically, he wore a white WWE Title Belt, for that movie, so "Rip" would be WWE Champion. Ultimate Warrior wore that belt, when he was champ.
