On November 6, 2012, Colorado became the first state in the nation to end marijuana prohibition when voters approved Amendment 64 -- http://www.RegulateMarijuana.org -- by a margin of 55-45. The historic ballot initiative makes marijuana legal for adults, establishes a system in which marijuana is regulated and taxed similarly to alcohol, and allows for the legal cultivation of industrial hemp.
