The Election 2008 Prayer Project

We believe that it is Gods desire to call His people to unite in prayer in order to accomplish His will in this upcoming election.

According to His word, He promises that if His people, who are called by His name will humble themselves and pray and seek His face and turn from their wicked ways that He will hear from heaven and heal their land. At times such as these, it is evident that He is calling his people to unite with His Holy Spirit and agree that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We are asking the Body of Christ to stand in the gap for the upcoming presidential election. We ask that believers dedicate themselves to prayer for our nation and their individual voting districts and designated polling locations. Ezekiel 22:30 says, I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not destroy it, but found none. Let us unite together so that the wall will be built and our land will be restored.
We ask that you pray that this elections outcome, glorify Him, acknowledging and thanking Him that this elections outcome is in His hands. And for His namesake may He have mercy on our land/country, with the realization that without Him, we can do nothing. Thanking Him that all things are possible, with His favor and intervention.
In 1 Timothy 2:1&2, the apostle Paul states, first of all, then, I urged, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. Let us pray, thanking him in advance for His mercy which endures forever, with awareness that the battle is won not by power or might but by His Spirit!
Together let us unite in a unified mission.

Mission statement: To unite the Body of Christ for the purpose of prayer. In order to see His will on earth as it is in heaven. Pray that we remain one nation under God, governing ourselves according to His principles and receiving His favor and blessings on our land. We asked that individuals and churches as well as communities commit to pray for the upcoming presidential election, nationally, and specifically by praying for every individual voting precinct and if possible, anointing your local polling area with oil.
Let us pray Gods will for our land, according to His word, let us join together.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen




Lord, we pray that the upright shall dwell in our government, that men and women blameless and complete in Your sight shall remain in these positions of authority, but that the wicked shall be cut off from our government and the treacherous shall be rooted out of it .In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus we ask this. Amen (Psalm 2:21-22)

Did you know that if you go to the river and pick up a rock you can bring that rock home and pray to it every day? It's true! And it always answers your prayers! Mind you, sometimes the answer will be YES, sometimes it will be NO, and sometimes it will be WAIT, but it will always answer your prayer. Just like God. Just exactly like God. As you can see from the results of THESE prayers. Ho, ho!
