  • she didn't get to compete in BB final because she was the 3rd highest on beam, but look at this routine, it's excellent

4 Russians, 3 Chinese, 3 Americans, and 3 Romanians qualified to the AA final in Beijing, but only 2 from each country could compete

could you imagine how intense the competition would be with all of those gymnasts in it

I say let the top 40 compete in the All Around final and 12 in event finals with no limits on country

the comp may be longer, but it would be a great one

  • living proof that country limits are killing the sport

  • Best beam mount I've ever seen! Awesome!

  • @ItsNastiaFan101 I say that Russia should have won team finals if they had 4 gymnast qualify..its only fair.

  • @ItsNastiaFan101 Amen. I second that!

  • @ItsNastiaFan101 I agree they should scrap country limits

  • OMG. Insane.

  • I see. I agree this was a wonderful routine. I wonderered because overall, Lysenko wasn't one who suffered that much from those country limits.

I miss the days of AA gymnasts and finals with 36 gymnasts instead of 24. I'm not sure about not limiting the number of gymnasts per country though, because now fans from countries where gymnastics isn't a big sport get better chances of making finals, and that's important for the popularity of the sport IMO. But yeah, there's a sad side to this.

  • How? It's not like country limits prevented her from competing in major competitions, neither in AA or EF?

  • She had guts, that's for sure. Mount is incredible.
