cute doggie! my 5month old pup just had FHO surgery too :( did u do any special PT, or take him to a center?

Just walks everyday - starting short and unlimited play with his buds starting about 10 days after surgery. The Dr that did the surgeury said no activity for 30 days, but that went against everything els we read. On Manny's recheck, the Dr commented at how rapidly he had progressed - far faster than he anticipated we just smiled and said yes when he said Manny could now go for walks. I think UC had very good rehab comments. Good luck to you and the pup!

He looks great! I just rescued a german shepherd mix off the side of the road in December. He had to have an FHO. I'm so happy that vets can do this kind of surgery and help the dog use his leg again. I hope he uses his leg all the time. Good luck!!! :)

thanks man. i actually just took my doggie to the dog park today, let him do some light running n mess arnd, i was nervous as hell tho. he seemed to start limpin a lot tho, so i jusr threw on the leash again, n chilld out. but i dunno. maybe just cuz he's sore, first real "full movements" he;s done since 4/30/09 so..hopefully im not pushin it...thnx for the advice.
