  • Sorry, I don't know. I'd just stopped for some pics on a trip from LA to Monterey.

  • Loved Pescadero when I lived out there. The last refuge left on the Coast. HMB is too busy and south of Pescy is filling up. Mmmmm....something from Duartes, some goat cheese and artichoke bread from that store in town. Ain't nothin' better than that in life!

  • ! Beautiful coast :o)

  • That Pescadero State Beach area (there are three parking lots with this being the Southernmost and the only free parking lot) is about 75 miles North of Monterey, though it is a very pretty drive. I was at Pescadero State Beach a couple of weeks ago... saw a few seals but no sharks, darn it.

  • I wouldn't swim there ANY time!! The water is too rough, lots of rocks, & cold all year round! Farther north in San Gregorio there is better access, sandier beach & calmer water w/ barely any rocks! (I drove my car, a '71 Pinto, off that very cliff after leaving a dance in Pescadero w/ 5 friends in my car!! We dropped 75 feet and landed on two rocks, with water coming up underneath the car...we all got out & no one was hurt...a miracle, without a doubt!!

  • I wouldn't swim in there during the winter, it gets really cold.

  • can you swim there anytime of the year? or does it get to cold in the winter??
