Because he is a big mouth asshole who is very similar to another douche named Craig James. What an incredible average talent that we have to listen to for no other reason than the networks think you have to have played to be able to talk about the simpleton sport known as Football.

Not only is Phil Simms a 2-time Super Bowl winner, but he is also a very decent guy.
Contrast this with many of the doped up, wife battering, drunken car crashing schucks who play the game today!!!

At the beginning, I have to say I HATED Simms.
Before football reached the TV screens in Britain in 1982, i would listen to games on the US armed services network, AFN Europe. I recall many a time in the dead of night listening as yet another Simms pass, deep, short, whatever, failed to reach his target. I hated him with a passion.
Then I remember seeing a clip of a GIANTS game where his introduction was met with a huge chorus of boos.
I became a Phil Simms fan from that day on.

Phil Simms is one of my all-time heroes.
He was a true "Giant" among men.
I miss him playing.
Those were the glory days.
