  • Back when this came out, my reaction was simply WoW!! it still is....WoW!!!

  • That is the honest to gods truth, "Play it pretty for Atlanta" is what sets this song apart from the other versions. I only dig this album out every 2 or 3 years, and its only for my ears, cranked all the way up,and,if someone else is in hearing distance, they are COLLATERAL DAMAGE!!!

  • Whoever disliked this really fucked it up for the stoner audience -_-

  • One of The All Time Great Classics, done by a great band in a great venue

  • Why is the solo at the end so quiet? It's almost completely drowned out by the other noise. The solo in this version is the best part of the song.

  • i want this song played at my funeral at the grave site when ever the lord decides to take me away i love this song so much all the skynyrd songs are great but this tops them all

  • my dad had just bought this album right before the crash,, them walking down the old town with the streets on fire,, still unwrapped and in the cover what a great loss that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! carry on sons carry on

  • "Lord, when I grow up and be big, I wanna be able to play the guitar like Allen Collins."-Jimmy Page

  • i was in a hospital, and im 14, the youngest person there by at least 35-40 years, and some old mans, probaly in his late 60s, phone went off. and its was the chorus of Free Bird. and the best part was, he let it ring for about a minute and nobody even looked upset at all

  • whenever i play the studio version on Rock Band 3, i always say at the start "play it pretty for atlanta"
