Russert treated all of his guests with respect except for Dr. Paul. This was nothing more than a hit piece on Ron Paul.

@papitosabe You are right. And I agree with him I just misunderstood. Paul believes the government should take care of it's promises, including those promised help by FEMA, but he wants to try something different if elected. Which is what you said, our local communities helping us out.

@jneil2007 when did he say that? I could of sworn his views on fema is that is a debacle and doesn't really work and how many people abused it that didn't even need it or weren't hurt by katrina used it... also how ineffective it is...he also says that government can help, but not just pass out money....before fema, what did people do?? churches, friends, family, and communities always helped people get back on their feet...thats not the role of the government...

Paul speaks so sensibly. I think thats unfortunate if he said the federal government shouldnt spend money on the Katrina disaster though.

Poor Tim Russert, just following orders... Maybe in this campaign Ron Paul will get the respect he deserves from the press. Common sense, people. He's been right all along.
