Shot and paralysed, but continuing to report on war. Tanya Black's at the BBC in London in an exclusive interview with a dedicated and decorated journalist, Frank Gardner.
Im 12 and i'm reading it at the moment......I'm meeting him in 2 weeks time and i really really like him....he has told me a lot about how to see the world
It's worth reading 'Blood and Sand' for more of this genuinely inspirational stuff - but the interview's excellent, too. This man really is a hero. His story - lack of self pity especially - has taught me a lot.
I think if it was any other BBC corispondent, they would milk the situation for everything. Frank is just happy that he survived and can report again!
He goes through all that... AND stands up for the Queen. What a top bloke!

Frank truly is inspirational. The way his love for the middle east has continued is a very positive thing.

Scary, it takes a strong person to survive all that and carry on, more or less, as before!
