  • Hopefully looking forward to enjoying this sort of scene again in March 2011, when Spitfire's Holy Oakes tour passes this certain neck of the woods...

  • I take it your on board Dave?

  • @Woolybak8 Not yet, but may be getting my ticket soon!

  • Oh cool thanks! 55022 was amazing in Lime Street in February, I might see it again soon!

  • 40145 isn't the only one doing the Manchester circle; 55022 Royal Scots Grey is also doing a tour on that route in late July. The railtour info site has information on that; look out for a link in my bulletin.

  • Ah so thats also 40145! I had not heard of the Aberystwyth railtour as of yet, but i'm deifinantly visiting Manchester Victoria soon for 40145 on the circular service, catch ya later!

  • 40145, owned by the Class 40 Preservation Society. She's just made railway news by rescuing a freight train of some sort; the second heritage mainline loco, after D1015 Western Champion, to be a thunderbird loco to an everyday freight or passenger working.

  • What loco is hauling that mate?

  • Hmm. Don't know about that one yet... I am however giving the 5th May tour to Aberystwyth some consideration, but nothing concrete yet... Catch you around pal!

  • Yeah I will, don't worry mate! Hope to see you again! BTW, i'll be on 40145 later on this year on the Lime Street-Skegness railtour, wondering if you be there...

  • You might want to know Dunky that about 5 minutes later another 37 passed through Chester on freight from Arpley Yard, which just so happened to be 37405, which was the other 37 on last week's Wolverhampton-York railtour (Stalybridge) along with 37401!

  • Oh cool, I didn't know you were on it, I only met amateurbasher there, but you have to admit, I know its my 3rd encounter with 37401 this week, but it was impressive when it left, if only I didn't delete my version accidently!

  • Ha yeah! One day, just one day!

  • yeah cheers!

  • hey, good vid, you can see me front window wearing black, great tour

  • great video, i think you should buy that 37, you do seem to meet up quite a lot!!! 5*

  • BTW, please pass on my regards to Stephen; I forgot this wasn't your footage, as I forgot to read the video description. Cheers!

  • Hey hey! There I am at 0:16 (in the green jumper, at the rear window of the first coach), trying to get a shot (mucked it up of course!). I don't know if you saw me, but I turned round and waved a few seconds later (I was out of sight by then anyway). Good to see you and your cousin there, even if for a few minutes. Great vid pal, five stars!
