In August of 2007, a team of 28 medical professionals, most all of them from Duke University, traveled to Kampala, Uganda, to set up more than $1 million of surplus Duke medical equipment in New Mulago Hospital, Kampala. Once set up, three Duke neurosurgeons, joined by Duke anesthesiologists, Duke nurses and support staff then performed nearly 40 surgical cases in the next five days.
Uganda is in critical need of medical equipments. The country has so many people from every corner of East Africa. I want the Global healthy, who have made it possible to donate medical equipments. May the Lord bless.
