Hi everyone
Well I finally done it I just had to go gas after seeing and hearing Chris's Top Flite P-51. So I selected the Hangar 9 Blue Nose to do the installation in. Don't get me wrong the electric motor and the 4 bladed prop were fine, but the idea of a gas motor in the P-51 was on my mind. I just could not help it so here we are I made the switch. This video is a preview of how the Saito FG 20 looks and is installed in the P-51. Essentially, I just followed the directions outlined in the instruction manual and used other information such as articles written in Fly RC Magazine's. The installation went well. So stay tuned for the flight and thanks for viewing.

  • Sweet Install Tim! Looks like you did a great job on her. The only thing that really makes me mad about this video and that engine is that You are supposed to be back in Orlando next door BEFORE you went to Gas! I want to fiddle with that motor too! LOL Seriously though, very cool. You'll absolutely love Gas engines, and especially love the sound of a four-stroke on your Blue Nose Baby! Half the fun on my Pitts is the sound & Roar of the engine! 5 Thumbs UP!

  • @RCRedBaron I know man, wanted to wait but I just could not, LOL wish I was there to. But soon I will be and we are going to fly fly fly and have fun Thanks for commenting.

  • Nice job on the install. Can't wait to hear it run and see it fly!

  • @GimbalStick Thanks Will do as soon as I can run it I mean.

  • do you mean fg 120 a 2o size four stroke will not power this thing unless i am wrong about the name and saito give their engines to me a 20 is only something that can fly 2/3 LB planes nothing that big. but its nice to see you fly a gas i have always been a fan of gas far more than electric then again im from the UK and gas is almost all we fly.

  • @FlyHighRC386 Great Question

The motor is a gas 4 stroke by Saito( FG-20) it is 20.52 CC 1.25 Cu in its also in the Hangar 9 Manual as one of the motors they recommend for this model. Thanks for the cool commet.
