in star trek kirk likes her then spock(han solo) is with her.

Battlestar Galactica baby!
I'm talking about the original one. Ya know, with Ben Cartwright and Face?

@UltramanII Yeah, I wasn't too sure about the technological direction on that one either. I am not sure if the new writers of Trek are trying to imply that pulse phasers are a precursor to the more technologically advanced beam phasers, or if pulse phasers are favored for being more powerful. I would think beam phasers are more useful for explorers, considering how versatile they are, but something tells me they chose pulse phasers because the visual effect is more exciting.

@Tranchera If I could give this comment 80 thumbs up, I would.

@Tranchera Thanks for pointing out the difference between nerds and fanboys :D

@milojthatch Part 2. Fundamentally, Trek and Wars are forms of entertainment. If Trek was not structured to entertain, no one would watch it. To Gene, I don't think Trek was important all in itself as much as it was a vehicle to carry forth his vision. That's fundamentally how I see it. At the end of the day, as long as Trek relates an enlightened future where humans aspire to improve their condition, it stays true to itself. Other elements are interesting, but ancillary to this goal.

@milojthatch Interesting analysis. While I would not try to jockey for position in Trek fandom, I will say I have watched everything Trek repeatedly with the exception of most of Voyager and most of Enterprise, and that's just because I didn't care for either. I also don't believe that to love Trek, it is necessary to hate Wars. Therefore, I don't believe that incorporating some elements of Star Wars in Trek is a form of Franchise blasphemy, but I understand if some people do.

@erentheca "Star Wars" has never had a "Trek" character in one of it's film. "Star Trek" however had R2 D2 in this latest "Star Wars," er, I mean "Trek from Abrams. You have a know hard core "Star Wars" fan who admits he never "got" "Trek," and then he makes this? How "die hard" of a "Trek fan where you again?
...this would of been better if you uploaded it in a higher resolution...
