You can tell you are in a room with a bit of an echo, you may need put up some dampening to reduce the reverb.

@thebeetalls a cross between a P3 and a Core solo?! jeez.. you seem to know as much as those guys trashing the equipment and calling it an autopsy.. ie: pretty much nothing.

it's a Celeron M .. the low-end version of a Pentium M

first gen eeePC 7xx were underclocked to ~600MHz, later generations (both 7xx and 9xx) had it running at full speed.

oh and *real* hardware hacking guys have successfully replaced them with Pentium M's, making them faster than any of the Atom crap you can get nowadays..

Love the autopsy. I know I said it before you definately need sound baffles.I know you guys survive on donations and I wish I had some for you. Didn't have any from the gym? I love the sgi logo on the tool box. I haven't seen one in 16 years. I miss those ONYX super computers I would definately love to see an autopsy one those!

@thegeekgroup This just came up while writing this comment. Probably already mentioned it though... A great addition to the lab would be a comprehensive radio station, whether VHF/UHF or even HF/MF. An unfortunate requirement, though, is to have a licensed ham monitoring the station at all times; so if you're the only one, you'll either have to shut it down or stay with it. Good luck getting your own. Lots of fun.

I spy with my little eye! the cpu PLL chip witch is marked 6LPRS906CGLF if you want to overclock this system to say 1 ghz this is the PLL chips ID

chip on far left is the intel 450M north bridge chipset.. in the middle is the celeron CPU underclocked to 630Mhz..ICS PLL! hehe..chip on far right..is the intel GMA 450 GPU..ive never seen the inside of my lil white 701 hehe
