I always loved that bass fill at 1:26

Always a huge Mark King fan, and 1984 really was the band's prime, but his choice of too-short pants is always a distraction from that early era. I discovered them via "A Physical Presence" live album in '85, and was left a bit disappointed hearing the studio versions.

You're almost right.
Spandau Ballet and 10CC were the year before in 1983.
This was in 84 and that night Sade, Level-42 and Talk Talk shared the stage.
In 1985 was the last Veronica's Rock Night with Propaganda and two Dutch acts, Mai Tai and Frank Boeyen Groep.

Thanks for posting! I remember staying up all night for this concert, it also featured Talk Talk and some other bands. It lasted until 5 a.m. Level 42 was brilliant that night!

Looks like a copy from my old VHS/V2000 tape, I remember puttin' it up on e-mule+kazaa a long time ago! It was recorded at the Port Of Rotterdam (Rotterdam Ahoy). If I remember correctly Spandau Ballet (Gold, True) and 10CC (Dreadlock Holiday, Feel The Love, Food For Thought) were also there. Level 42 started their concert with the song Almost There. They sound so much better here than on their later live album A Physical Presence. That album was squeeky clean compared to this spontaneous jam!

Mark's Jaydee always looked like he was wearing a piece of furniture. (Pardon me while I go get the Pledge furniture polish)

In the prime of their prime.

Fantastic! Really can't believe this footage hasn't surfaced before - looks great! Thanks for the upload :)
OMG this is amazing! Almost as good as A Physical Presence - they all have such a good sound! Any more from this concert by any chance?

Of course, the next one will be the Foundation And Empire, but the upload option doesn't work. I don't know why...
