On the 23rd November 2011 The Big Audition with Jamie Cullum drew to a close with 5 finalists each performing a 10 minute showcase to a crowded room at PizzaExpress in Kensington Olympia.

With a judging panel comprising of Jamie Cullum, Sir Michael Parkinson, Heather Small, Clive Davis and Beth Rowley, the finalists really had to bring their A-game. A career launching prize included £5000 from Barclaycard Freedom and a three night residency at the famed PizzaExpress Jazz Club in Dean Street, Soho was on offer.

The finalists included singer/songwriter Andy Lewis, jazzy blue-eyed soul trio from the US The Yesberger Band, South Londoners Offbeat South, 14 year old Elle Watson and teen jazz duo Palms13.

From over 7,500 entries the act that was awarded first place was Offbeat South. Their dubstep production with live instrumentation worked a treat with the crowd -- people were literally jumping!
