You should try using fibreglass for constructing your frames it can be premoulded cut and shaped into individual brackets tubes and sheets that can be very versatile in construction. You can also use cotton cloth instead of fibreglass with epoxy glue for resin. Plasticine makes a good medium for moulds as it can be used to reproduce common shapes covered with cellophane it won't stick to fine parts, but retains detail.

mate i understand why u use wood u can craft it to what u want and its a hell of a lot faster to do so yourself and cheaper and its just as good XD
