"Feelin' It" is a new rap song and music video released by the Galen Institute and produced by the Free Market Boyz, a self-described group of "liberty loving young men" who were winners in the Galen Institute's "Do No Harm!" video contest last year.
- "Feelin' It" highlights many of the most damaging provisions for young people in the health overhaul law, including "half-trillion in brand new taxes," increased health costs, and the individual mandate requiring people to health insurance or face fines.
Chorus:
If you feel how I feel
If you feel how I feel
Then we need to repeal
Then we need to repeal Obamacare
Back again 2010 Obamacare passed now we're taking in
What it all means for the citizens, the businesses, and the government
And I'm wondering, how you gonna pay though? Uncle Sam can't take work and make to dough. Oh no oh oh.
Half-trillion in brand new taxes
Sounds funny but here's what the facts is
Pay more for indoor tanning, Medicare planning, incomes landing
Right in the laps of fat cats standing Dodging the facts in the beltway planning Maybe I'm misunderstanding Nah! I'm demanding
Chorus
Gotta idea that's unstoppable
Keep government responsible Eliminate how we regulate Buy insurance from any state
Consolidate get rid of the excess
Lower rates that can help us invest Stop talkin' and let me assess What I need is not what you says
I can speak for my own needs man
Don't need a third party plan
I see how it all began No I in 'Yes We Can'
Let me pick how I'm insured
Gotta know that I ain't scared
Don't need to get it from my work
Give me a rebate that's a perk
I'll put it back in the economy Have a little faith in me, Mr. President
Chorus (X2)
Here's a job that can still be fixed
Like a weak track and a hot remix
but i ain't gonna work while the g'rnment kicks
Back and chills and takes its picks
Come on bro, ya'll think that's fair
You know that's some huge welfare
State going straight nowhere You can roll but don't take me there Wanna know what I say Wanna do things my way So please don't make me pay For what I didn't want it anyway
I know that you claim it will turn out fine But I want to pay for what's mine
Chorus
Youth must stay connected and don't let the government spend away your futures!!
