  • why do you poke the bowl when tamping?

  • @galt987 to aerate it

  • Why do you not like Churchwardens? The longer stem provides a cooling effect, you get the "Gandalf" feeling, and they are typically not very expensive.

  • @williamjmcelroy the shape doesn't appeal to me

  • Hey good vid - yet another source of pipe infomation for the masses.

Another suggestion-- is to take out the stem from your mouth between puffs.

Pipe tobacco increases saliva production leading to more of it in your mouth and down your pipe stem.

Also have you heard of Falcon pipes.

    The wet pipe mans dream.

keep up the good work .

  • @zombiesheep I have seen falcons but dislike the look. Thanks for the suggestion

  • You should try. Cigars are for hard asses, pipes are for bad asses. Etherway, it's better than the gayness of cigarettes.

  • I haven't tried a pipe or cigar yet but I want to some day :-)

  • I would agree about the straight stem being better for gurgle...it doesn't so much prevent gurgling, but they are MUCH easier to clear up with a pipe cleaner.

  • @williamjmcelroy I love churchwardens :D

  • smoke weed instead. no lung cancer :)

  • I've noticed that with straight pipes, the moisture often runs down the stem right into your mouth. The bitter, sour, disgusting taste can ruin an otherwise great smoke. Which is why I usually hold my straight pipes at a very slight downward angle.

  • all smoke is carcinogenic.just the co2 co and other oxides in smoke is what causes damage to your body.
