I was fortunate enough to get to meet and sit with arlo at Fitzgerald's in Houston, back in 1984. I heard Alice's Rest & City of New Orleans in the early 70's. I will never tire of the storytelling genius he inherited from his father. I was born in, & have returned to, SoCal; however, the years I spent travelin' Rte66 will forever remain memorable days, thanks to the simplicity of the people & stories of southern towns, such as Guthrie, Oklahoma. A lifetime of thanks to Woodie & Arlo !!

okaay, i'm from the 2000's generation,
and our music isn't crap.
we have good taste in music,
just different taste than the rest of you.
i bet your parent's generation thought your music was crap,
so please don't call it crap.

anyway,
arlo is absolutely amazing,
i swear i watch woodstock at least once a week,
and he's one of my favorite performers.

That basically sums it up right there. In my opinion he and his father are/ were the definers of Amerian Folk music.

Agreed some of... no The best music did come from his generation, you have so many classics coming from the 50;s to the 80's IE, Jethro Tull, the Beatles, the Who, and so on... I wish I could have been there,
