  • Thank you for the video, very nice. The kitfox is my Dream Machine. I have dreamed of flying since I first started reading about hang gliders in the 70's. What kind of performance do you get with the 912S, Cruise, climb, gph etc. and why did you choose the Rotax as opposed to a Jabiru, Geo/Raven etc.?

  • I started hangliding in 1976, Rogallo wing, and moved to a more advanced design as they quickly developed and eventually powered the second one with a McCulloch kart engine. Hard to know, but it may have been the first ultralight in Texas.

And the Kitfox, I can't say enough good things about it. Cruise is 120mph at approx. 4gph depending on the weather, loading etc. The climb is crazy. Never owned a Jab so I won't put it down, but the 912S is a bad boy.

    Thanks for the wonderful comment

  • Looks like fun! Great photography! What model kitfox and powerplant do you have?

  • We built a Series 7 with a 912S. Thanks for the compliment.
