I went from a Hitachi 160GB to the 1TB black with 64MB cache. The performance increase is noticeable in windows 7.

when i ordered it from newegg, it was just the HDD and blank DVDs. i think it must have banged against the box. They pack them a lot better now. Newegg sent me a new one right away.
