i know you just started up again, and you might already know this but try when your cornering to put your butt crack right on edge of your seat, like if your turning right you put your butt crack on the left side of the seat....this will lean your bike down more making it easy and faster to turn, its also good in corners with rutts...and make sure you keep your legs tight up against the side of the bike, it keeps you stabble and gives you more control over your bike
