On February 10, 2008, the Writers Guild of America held a press conference to announce that the WGA Negotiating Committee has unanimously recommended the terms of the proposed 2008 MBA to the WGAW Board and WGAE Council. The Board and Council then voted unanimously to
recommend the contract and to submit it to the joint membership of the WGAW and WGAE for ratification. Additionally, the Board and Council called for a special vote on whether to lift the restraining order and end the strike during the ratification process.
Oh great!!! Now watch the DVD's and Blue-Ray disc rise 3 or 4 bucks, God only knows. The studios should pay for your new contracts, not the consumer. But I don't blame you guys, thank God this is over.
