FOR VENOMFANG: http://clutchology.blogspot.com/2008/07/venomfakex.html

This video deals with some of the reasons why I became an atheist. My reasons for becoming an atheist were quite poor, but they are not why I maintain my position. Remember that.

Some videos I have already done on the topic:
Why Atheism?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DViMYE4lwQQ
A Letter To A Theist:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMDMynxig6A
Why Wonder?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sopO8s3duHM

My views on where I stand and why I do so are constantly changing, as I think these videos are evidence of, but the basic premise seems to remain the same throughout.

P.S. sorry I haven't done a proper video in a while. I've been having technical difficulties, but they're sorted now. Expect some nicely edited videos soon!

  • You said that you were never religious, right? How is it that you say that religion had nothing to offer you if you were never religious?

  • @OrangeAndBlue57 When I was a child I had Christian beliefs because that's what I was told, but I never held them with any conviction because they genuinely didn't provide any explanatory or emotional benefit to me.

When I got to my teens and thought about the question properly I officially dropped those beliefs since I had no reason to hold them. I still don't.

  • @IamTheoneWhodreams You said you spend your 'days talking to people who refuse to believe truth', so that means you spend your days talking to yourself ??

  • @IamTheoneWhodreams I truly do not believe that a god exists. The subject is never even part of my thought process until I come on here. I live my life truly devoid of any religious or supernatural thought.

I have little interest in 'proving' or 'disproving' sides. My 'disbelief' is not based on a reading of the Bible, science, or pride. It is simply my philosophical outlook on the world. My philosophy has no need of a deity, and I have never been given an adequate reason to include one.

Sorry, I meant, I don't think having a generic belief in god is the same as being religious.

  • i think you should check out drdino.com this will give you reasons to believe in "mine." As for the soul there have been numerous stories of near death experiences where a person could describe everything that happened after they were deamed dead. hope you check out the site. Here if you need it.

  • Agnosticism- that humans are simply incapable of understanding what God is and how he exists- is nonsense. The bible- taken to be the very word of God- explains very clearly that God is an omnipotent, man-like being (created man in his own image). Aside from the obvious contradiction of terms there, it's quite obvious that nothing in the universe is infinite. If there was, it wouldn't be a matter of faith.

  • Well I have to say you're a lot more thoughtful than most atheists.
