this guy is seriously a joke everyone. he literally has never taken guitar lessons, or know anything about the proper way to finger an instrument (sorry if that sounds dirty). PLEASE do not play like this. as other comments say, you really need to use your pinky, and play the notes correctly for that matter. this guy basically taught himself how to play and is trying to teach everyone else how to suck at playing.

That fingering technique he's using is BAD bad - don't you believe him! Using your "ring" finger a whole tone up from your "middle" finger in that progression, on those frets is seriously going to IMPEDE a beginning guitarists progress.
