That wreck looked alot worse then the Daytona wreck.

He couldn't have died from the impact at Daytona, if he survived this. I think he was dead before the he hit the wall at Daytona from a heart attack, or stroke.

This crash looks worse than 2001 Daytona, but definately survivable for a guy like Dale Sr. The front of the car was starting to pull away from the wall at the point of impact becoming more of a spinning collision than a deadly head on with the wall. Plus he didn't have another car riding him into the wall too. He missed death by about 3ft on this crash.
