Dragon! The original Bruce Lee clone, forget Tekken's Law, Street Fighter's Fei-Long, this is the original gangsta!

Dragon's always been a cool cat. Such a likeable character. He's got fists-a-flyin', deadly quick feet and an awesome Dragon Kick that sees a dragon head spiritually surround his entire body, one of the most impressive fighting game special moves ever, especially back in 1992, it was very flashy for its time.

Dragon unfortunately though has been on a 10 plus year hiatus, as he was not revived for Neo Geo Battle Coliseum. The world awaits his star-powered return.

"AH-CHOO!!"

  • This charactor is so weak, and trash.. including normal atk damage, hyper atk, hit combo, none effective skill("rapid fist"), easy to be counterattacked because of short guard frame etc I think ,If you have choice this charactor, that's not good

  • @SDSOverfiend No, it's the names. Jeet Kune Do was what I meant to say. Sorry.

  • @1983parrothead You think your a know but don't know the difference between Jeet Kune Do and Tae kwon Do? FOH!! Convo ended.. Get your facts straight.

  • @SDSOverfiend Whatever. The names of Jeet Kune Do and Tae Kwon Do were confusing to me. Like ADK, Capcom also took some ideas from the past, most from mangas and animes like Hokuto no Ken and Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. There was even a character that looked like Chun-Li in the pre-SFII game, Reikai Doushi.

  • @1983parrothead First Off Bruce invented Jeet Kune Do My friend... Its true Pioneers are often forgotten about but Jannee is no chun li lol!!

  • @SDSOverfiend Law pays tribute to Bruce Lee, while Jacky pays tribute to what Bruce Lee invented: Tae Kwon Do.

But when Virtua Fighter came out, Namco took its concept, while most Americans first saw Tekken. Even Guiness World Records incorrectly called Tekken "First Fighting Game To Feature Simulated 3D". Even though there are some originality in Tekken, why not look at post-SFII fighting games the same way? Janne is nothing like Chun-Li.

  • @1983parrothead Nah not really.. I won't say He is a rip off of JAcky though.. Jacky is the Common man's practitioner of JKD. Law is pure homage.

  • @1983parrothead Oh aight.. I had the SNES port Takara did that one. I can remember it clearly though he was from China in the original. You gon make me break out the rom now lol!!

  • The earliest Bruce Lee wannabe in fighting game history was actually Oolong from Yie Ar Kung-Fu, followed by his Famicom / MSX Yie Ar Kung-Fu counterpart, Lee.

Tekken's Law is a rip-off of Virtua Fighter's Jacky Bryant.

  • @SDSOverfiend Bruce Lee that is, but I heard that there was a South Korean flag in his stage in the original Neo-Geo version of WH2, but was changed to a China flag by Saurus or Takara in the SNES port of WH2.
