@erikcanada 6.8x43SPC would be the better choice vs the standard 5.56x45 NATO round currently in service with our military. For better range however, I would go with the 6.5 Grendel. Both rounds are more expensive than the 5.56.

@C172Pilotdude Really? thats interesting. The ONLY reason I went with the 180 is simply that its not restricted. A AR with a Gas piston set up would be a pretty slick setup...now if only it had a heftier round...

@erikcanada The Ar15 is definitely better than the AR180B. The only exception being that the AR180B is a gas piston operated rifle vs the more basic direct gas impingement system found int he AR15/M16 rifles. Although for the past couple of years there have been more and more Piston ar15 rifles on the market as well as upgrade piston retrofit kits to convert a standard Ar15 to a Gas piston operated rifle.

@C172Pilotdude lucky you...I spent about 3 months looking for one. I was not too choosy when a guy called me up. not to mention, I did not have much leverage, since he had a dude already lined up. oh well, its a pretty sweet rifle..AR 15 would be better though....
