South East Louisiana Amateur Radio Club had its Field Day (June).
FIELD DAY is when Ham Radio operators around the world tune in to test emergency communications. SELARC was instrumental to the Parish (county) of Tangipahoa after Hurricane Katrina. SELARC provided the parish government solid communication to Baton Rouge (State Officials). For the first three days after the hurricane we were the main form of communication.
