Simple Yet Extremely Effective Impromptu Mentalism

An impromptu mentalism trick; where the performer ( without even seeing or touching the deck ) seems to detect a thought of card simply by listening to the voice of the spectator as he/she calls out the cards throughout the deck.

Its a good trick but it has some degree of risk...Consider the spectator is an amateur and he puts the deck face up on his hand instead of face down?

@mrrrrgizmo You could actually tell the spectator at the beginning to hold the deck face down, start calling out the cards and then stop them immediatly after a few cards. You then tell them to replace the cards back on top of the deck because you can see their card between two red cards - so you ask them to turn the deck over and fan through the deck to view their card and verify if you are correct - again it's just a distraction - continue with the rest of the trick!

@matisyo In that case you would of course be wrong in your guess; but you could state something like the impression was delayed - then you could simply correct yourself and then reveal the key card!
